Engineering Research Center for Ultra-high Purity Silicon Materials of Henan was approved for establishment in 2016. It focuses on the key and difficult problems of silicon materials, researches and develops key processes (including systematic energy conservation technology and environmental protection technology) and core equipment technologies for the preparation of ultra-high purity materials through experiments, carries out R&D of new theories, new technologies, new processes and new equipment related to the optimization and upgrading of silicon industry structure, and cultivates innovative talents in industrial engineering design technology. It promotes the application of major scientific and technological achievements, establishes systematic technical standards and specifications in various fields of silicon industry, and provides strong support for the development of ultra-high purity industry. Relying on the R&D platform for electronic functional materials of SINOSICO, the Center has built 4 test platforms and 1 comprehensive testing and analysis center through environmental optimization and upgrading of the comprehensive research and development building, including silicon-based electronic gas test platform, optical fiber silicon tetrachloride test platform, silane test platform, ultra-high purity polysilicon test platform and comprehensive testing and analysis center. Focused on creating key technology supply for domestic silicon-based material industry and promoting leapfrog development of silicon industry, with independent innovation in silicon material engineering design and improvement of sustainable development capacity of silicon industry as critical sources, a total construction fund of RMB 65.6285 million has been invested, and more than 300 sets of high-purity equipment, pipelines, filling, storage and testing equipment required for the testing line have been provided.
